Behind the screen or on the wall
The backlight strips run along the back panel of your TV and light the wall around it. They take power from a 5 volt USB cable, so a TV with a spare USB port can feed them, and the corner wires let the strip turn the four corners without connector clips. The 32.8 foot kit is a different animal: an HDMI box sits between your TV box or console and the screen and sets the strip to the colors in the picture. It works at 1080p and below. A 4K signal may drop.
The neon rope is a softer line of light, 32.8 feet with 300 LEDs under a diffuser, meant for mood rather than for reading by. You pick any color from the remote or the app, and the whole rope shows that one color at a time. You bend it round the edge of a mirror, the top of a desk or into a heart you sketched in pencil first, and fix it with the screws and clips in the box. The rope itself is rated IP67 and can run outside. The adapter and the control box cannot, so they stay under cover, which is why it sits with the indoor lines in the Nexillumi range.

Which Nexillumi strip fits your TV?
Measure around the back panel a couple of inches in from the edge. The 13.2 foot strip is listed for TVs from 32 to 65 inches, the 16.4 foot strip for 55 to 75 inches, and the 32.8 foot HDMI kit for 70 to 100 inches.
Does the HDMI backlight work with your 4K TV?
The sync box reads the picture over HDMI at 1080p or lower. With a 4K signal it may drop, so set the source to 1080p, and connect it through a TV box rather than the TV's own apps.
Can you leave the neon rope outside?
The rope is rated IP67. The power adapter and the white control box are not waterproof, so keep them indoors or under cover and run only the rope outside.
Can you control Nexillumi strips from your phone?
Yes. The TV strips and the neon rope come with a remote and pair with the illumi home app, which adds timers, scenes and a music mode.
